What's in a Dream?

Updated: Apr 26, 2019

God’s will and purpose, whether they be given to us by words or dreams, are already set.

As I reflected upon starting over and the subsequent journey, I revisited a dream that I have had for some years which had been tucked away but not forgotten. Truthfully speaking, timing and opportunity never seemed to connect with this dream so I laid it down, ‘put it on the shelf’. As I started to reflect on God's creation of the earth, the atmosphere and everything within, one thing was very evident: the goodness of God was clearly shown in the earth's new beginning. Then I looked at another new beginning, the awakening moment of the conception of Jesus’ earthly presence. Jumping out to me for both were the hovering/brooding power of the Spirit of God who creates.

When we know God has called us, we can trust and believe that He has a good plan and purpose for us.

I looked at my dream again. What about this dream, Lord? Instantaneously my mindset shifted from knowing the dream as one that I had dreamed, to a dream that God gave me filled with HIS purpose and HIS good intentions for my future. I knew at that moment to take it off the shelf for good. My confession was 'It will not be tucked away again! It will be in full view and active in me'.

Dreams birth expectations.

I had nothing to move me forward before, but now my dream fills me with expectation, wonder and passion to embrace the reality of it. I was purposely created and predestined to be Lita, according to the will of God before the foundations of this world. My destiny was created with purpose for ME. I encourage myself, even at this moment, that God’s promises are my reality, and I remember His promises to me that came to pass. I remember those who went through times of difficulty but yet kept their dream alive. I glean from their wisdom and lifestyle. I will be a daughter of God fit, ready and prepared for Him to use for every good work. The Spirit of God will rest on me and I will excel above and beyond measure.
